Second Opinion is a confidential research integrity investigation service from Molecular Connections for publishers, editors and research compliance officers, which it made available in May 2025 and formally announced on 7 October 2025. It combines subject matter experts with Molecular Connections’ Integrity Manager platform, running automatic checks followed by expert human review, and it connects to publishers’ existing submission and review systems. It returns findings with links to the detailed analysis, and it is used for triage before publication and for investigations after publication.
