Veracity for Publishing is a fact-checking and review tool for academic publishing from Grounded AI, which describes it as a “reviewer zero” that works before peer review. It verifies claims and citations, flags citations that cannot be matched to a real source, and checks whether the cited papers support the way a manuscript uses them. It checks against open-access sources or corpora that an organisation makes available, it can be configured to balance speed, cost and depth of analysis, and Grounded AI describes the product as in private beta. The manuscript submission system eWorkflow announced in May 2025 that all manuscripts submitted through it are screened with Veracity, and SciFlow announced in March 2026 that it plans to integrate Veracity into its authoring and publishing workflows during 2026.
