Journal Fit is a feature of Alchemist Review, Hum’s product for screening manuscripts before editors see them, which Hum launched on 3 December 2025 for all Alchemist Review users. It gives each submitted manuscript a Fit Score from 0 to 10, with written explanations, to show how well the manuscript matches a journal’s scope and standards, so that editors can decide which submissions deserve closer review. The score covers four dimensions: novelty, relevance to scope, scientific rigour, and significance and impact.
