Its compliance checks audit whether research meets an organisation’s open science policies, Open Science Metrics measure open science adoption in the published literature, and SnapShot scans a submitted manuscript’s full text against a journal’s editorial policies. SnapShot returns a summary of findings with author-ready revision instructions, checking whether new datasets are shared, where they are shared and whether the reasons given for not sharing data are valid, and it integrates with Editorial Manager, ScholarOne, KGL Smart Review and Kriyadocs. DataSeer announced a partnership with TaskAdept on 31 March 2026 that lets SnapShot work with any submission system.
