Pangram is an AI text detection service from Pangram Labs, which AI researchers founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 2023. It estimates whether a text was produced by AI, how much of a document is AI-generated and whether it has been AI-edited, and it also offers a similarity checker that combines plagiarism checking with AI detection and detection of AI-generated images. It accepts PDF, DOCX and RTF files, up to 100 at a time, and is available through a Chrome extension, a Google Docs add-on, learning management system integrations and an API. Pangram lists educators, universities and publishers among its target users.
