Reviewer matching

Dimensions Reviewer Finder identifies expert reviewers for grants and manuscripts: it extracts key concepts from an abstract and matches them against researcher profiles, returning a curated list ranked by relevance, with workflow support through to committee-building and contact.

Eureka is MDPI’s reviewer recommender: NLP extracts core concepts from a manuscript’s title and abstract, finds comparable published articles and reviews, and surfaces potential reviewers with strong publication records in the field.

Global Campus connects academic stakeholders — researchers, universities, funders, publishers — through AI matchmaking, drawing on OpenAlex and ResearchConnect data. It grew out of Impacter, which gave automated feedback on grant proposals; launched December 2022.

Elsevier’s Find Reviewers tool, inside Editorial Manager, suggests peer reviewers from Scopus data: system-generated recommendations, keyword and author searches, and conflict-of-interest filters.

Prophy Referee Finder matches manuscripts and grant proposals to referees using a database of over 160 million articles: scientist profiles ranked by semantic similarity to the submitted work, with conflicts of interest flagged from co-authorship and institutional affiliation.
